Complaints and dispute resolution

What can you do in case of a complaint about your chiropractor?

Of course your chiropractor does everything possible to make the treatment and contact as pleasant as possible. Sometimes it may happen that this does not go quite the way you want. For example, when you are dissatisfied with the way the chiropractor deals with you or your complaint. It is good to make this known. You do this not only for yourself, but also for other patients. In this way, you are helping to improve the quality of chiropractic care.

Talk to your chiropractor

If you are dissatisfied with your treatment, first try to find a solution with the provider yourself. It often helps to ask for clear time and attention for your problem. Usually many problems are solved this way.

Independent complaints officer

If you cannot find a solution together, an independent complaints officer can mediate in the complaint. In accordance with the Act on quality, complaints and disputes care (Wkkgz), your chiropractor is required to be affiliated. For more information contact your chiropractor and ask about the complaints procedure as it applies there. On the website of the chiropractor / practice you can also find this information

Dispute

If mediation does not work, there may be a dispute. The independent complaints officer to which your chiropractor is affiliated can inform you about the dispute procedure. In accordance with the Act on quality, complaints and disputes care (Wkkgz) your chiropractor is required to be affiliated with a recognized dispute resolution body.
